I was born and raised in Liverpool which is where I still reside today. Lacking co-ordination and fine motor skills as a child due to having dyspraxia, I was pretty bad at sport and it was for this reason my dad signed me up to the Merseyside Junior Magic Circle when I was around 11 years old. It was then under the tutelage of Philip Partridge that John the Great first got into magic.
That same year, I received Sooty’s Magic Set off Father Christmas and being involved in the Methodist church, I soon started performing at various children’s clubs, Boy’s Brigade and other youth events. The performances soon increased when I trained to be a local preacher and started using magic in my sermons.
When growing up, in a one-off performance, I shared the main stage at Butlins in Minehead with then, Red Coat, Stephen Mulhern. In recent years, I've started making magic videos for YouTube.
I am also now a regular participant on the Tuesday and Wednesday Open Mic Magic Nights on Zoom alongside other magicians and mind readers, be they beginners, part timers, semi-pros or full-time professionals.
I just love performing, and with an up-to-date gov.uk DBS check, I now want to do more children’s parties, which is the focus of this website. Here, you can see my services around magic and contact me, as well as see all my YouTube magic videos and occasional magical articles.
